Registrations are now being accepted for the Nano App Summit 2007, being held in Cleveland, Ohio from October 22-25. The Summit will address a wide range of nanotechnology applications, including automotive, defense, and remediation uses. In addition, the Summit kicks off on October 22 with two "tutorials" for those looking to get up to speed on the issues.
First, Dr. Alexis Abramson will present "Nano 101," which will provide "a solid foundation for what you need to know about nanotechnology and its applications. This will be geared to the person who knows that nanotechnology will be important for their industry, but wants a more solid fundamental understanding of the technology and its implementation."
Then, attorneys from Porter Wright Morris & Arthur, LLP will present an Environmental Health & Safety tutorial addressing, "growing environmental, health, and safety concerns associated with the commercialization of nanotechnology, and regulatory responses to those concerns by national, state and local governments." This panel will also include case study applications of the materials presented.
Other speakers throughout the week include representatives from Lockheed Martin, Motorola, Golder Associates, Nanofilm, Honda, Zyvex, and many more.
